Chemical Peel

A chemical peel exfoliates the dead superficial skin to allow the more vibrant skin underneath to glow through. It takes away the dull look and replaces it with a healthy glow. Without layers of dead skin cells blocking the pores, you will be less prone to breakouts, clogged pores and skincare products will penetrate better.

A Chemical Peel can be used on the face or body, common areas of the body to be treated include the chest, back, and hands for skin rejuvenation, acne, or sun-damage.

The  term chemical peel may be deceiving. Although considered chemical, they are derived from natural ingredients, such as sugar cane, milk derivatives, and fruit acids. Peels have been around for centuries in a much more crude form and even Cleopatra knew the benefits of using peels to keep the skin glowing and at its best.

Treatment is not painful. There may be a mild tingling sensation and /or itchiness, depending on which peel that you have. This only lasts a few minutes and is supervised at all times, a fan can be used to alleviate any prickling. After a chemical peel, the skin is sun-sensitive a sunscreen is applied immediately afterwards. A sun block minimum SPF 30 or more is recommended to use after your treatment.

These chemical peel treatments, in conjunction with an effective home skincare regime of medical-grade skin care products, can be used to improve a range of skin concerns such as fine lines and wrinkles, pigmentation irregularities such as sun spots or age spots, enlarged pores,  acne and superficial  scarring can be addressed.
